Rules for using KuriaHub's marketplace, community and seller services.

Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using KuriaHub, you agree to these Terms. You must provide truthful information and be legally able to enter the transactions you choose to make.

  • A parent or guardian should supervise a user who cannot lawfully enter a binding transaction.
  • Stop using the platform if you do not agree to these Terms.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping your password, verification codes and devices secure.

  • Do not share passwords, OTPs, bank PINs or M-PESA PINs.
  • Report suspected unauthorized access through Contact Support.

KuriaHub's role

KuriaHub provides tools for discovery, listings, communication and marketplace administration. Unless expressly stated, KuriaHub is not the buyer, seller, landlord, hotel, employer, agent or guarantor in a user transaction.

  • Users must inspect and verify goods, services, rooms, land, jobs and counterparties.
  • KuriaHub does not guarantee that every listing or user statement is accurate.

Listings and user content

Only post content you are entitled to use. Listings, photographs, messages, reviews and community updates must be truthful, lawful and relevant.

  • You keep ownership of your content.
  • You allow KuriaHub to host, display, resize, organize and moderate it as needed to operate and promote the platform.
  • Remove or update listings that are no longer accurate or available.

Prohibited conduct

Do not use KuriaHub for fraud, impersonation, harassment, malware, unlawful data collection, illegal goods, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, misleading claims or infringement of another person's rights.

  • Do not manipulate reviews, evade safety controls or interfere with the platform.
  • Do not harvest phone numbers, emails, messages or other user data.

Deals, land, jobs and safety

Users make their own transaction decisions. Carry out appropriate checks before paying, travelling, handing over goods, accepting work or signing documents.

  • Meet in safe places and inspect items before payment where practical.
  • Independently verify ownership, licences, permits, employment claims and professional qualifications.
  • Report suspicious activity and preserve relevant evidence.

Messages, reviews and community updates

Communication must be respectful and connected to a genuine platform purpose. Reviews and updates must reflect honest experience and must not expose private information without authority.

  • KuriaHub may review reported content when needed for support, safety or enforcement.
  • Threats, abuse, spam and deliberate misinformation may be removed.

Seller plans and payments

Seller subscriptions, promotions or other paid features apply only when clearly displayed and activated. The price, period, renewal and material conditions should be shown before a user commits.

  • Approved payment providers may process payment details and transaction status.
  • KuriaHub does not ask for a bank PIN, M-PESA PIN or OTP.
  • Any refund or cancellation right is subject to the displayed plan terms, applicable law and payment-provider rules.

Optional photo polishing

A seller may choose an optional image-processing feature to improve a listing photograph. Only submit images you are permitted to use.

  • Images may be sent to a specialist service provider to perform the requested processing.
  • The seller remains responsible for ensuring the processed image still represents the real item or service.

Moderation and account action

KuriaHub may reject, limit, remove or preserve content and may warn, restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, platform integrity or investigation.

  • Serious or repeated violations may lead to account termination.
  • A user may contact support to explain or challenge an action.

Intellectual property

The KuriaHub name, branding, software and original platform materials are protected. Do not copy, reverse engineer, misuse or falsely claim affiliation with KuriaHub.

  • Rights owners may report allegedly infringing content through Contact Support.

Availability and third-party services

KuriaHub is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, pause or fail because of maintenance, networks, devices, service providers or events outside reasonable control.

  • Third-party authentication, hosting, email, payment and image-processing services may have their own terms.
  • KuriaHub cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, each user is responsible for their own content, conduct and transactions. KuriaHub is not responsible for losses caused by another user's fraud, breach, product, service or off-platform conduct.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Account deletion and retained records

Users may request account deletion through the public Data Deletion page. Some payment, completed-order, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, backup or legal records may be retained where reasonably necessary.

  • Deletion is reviewed securely and is not necessarily immediate.
  • Content already shared with another user may remain in that user's records where required for safety or transaction history.

Changes, law and contact

KuriaHub may update these Terms when the service, law or safety requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the platform where reasonably practical.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
